So, this is my first blog post!  No recipes in this post, but instead a few notes on content and boring (but necessary) details.

This will mostly be a collection of classic Northern Irish traybake recipes but I reserve the right to blog about whatever else I may be baking (or eating).

Most of the recipes from my “retro” 1980s books use imperial measurements, so where possible I will convert these to metric measurements, as this is what I typically use.

As I now live in the US, I will attempt to translate any terminology and ingredients into US English (eg bicarbonate of soda is baking soda on this side of the pond).  And it is also inevitable that some US words or phrases will slip into my recipes.  Hopefully I won’t cause too much confusion!
